Firefox

You are using Firefox right? It is a great, open source web browser. I’ve only been using Firefox for about a year, but I am finding that the more customized I can make it and the more tricks I learn about it - the better it works for me. The most important feature of Firefox for me is the tabbed browsing. Previously with Internet Explorer, I would have window after window after window open - which was very annoying. Now I may have a handful (or more!) tabs open, but it is only one overall window.

Here are some tips to teach you how to use your mouse less when you are using Firefox, via LifeHacker. I am going to print these off and keep them in a place I can see them until I know them well enough. I do have a wireless mouse, but that only means it is all over the place as I adjust how I sit at the computer.I also found a Mozilla Firefox cheat sheet - it includes some basics such as keyboard shortcuts like control + c will copy whatever is selected.

These are both great to have because being able to use shortcuts is a nice addition to getting things done online faster and easier.

New Google Checkout

Google has launched their Checkout payment system. Here is a quick video tour so you can see what it is about. It looks great - one sign in to pay for items rather then merchant after merchant having your personal and credit card information. Plus other then paying for the items, you can track your purchases and look at your history directly from Google Checkout rather then going back to the individual merchant. I really like the idea of this being all in one place and the security of hidden email addresses and credit card information.
This looks like a good product, though I have to say there probably isn’t anything that comes from Google that I don’t like. Check it out today.

30 Day Challenge

The 30 day challenge is put together by Ed Dale and Frank Kern, with the idea that at the end you will make $1 by selling your own niche information product. They will teach you FOR FREE how to do this! And the goal is to make $1 by the end of July.

You may think $1, what is so great about $1. But it’s not the $1 that is significant, it is the process that you will learn, it’s the ideas you will realize and - that dollar will grow. And you can repeat the process again.

The challenge starts on July 1, so get over there now and sign up. Ed and Dale also put together a quick video and an audio outlining the 30 day program plus testimonials from others who participated in last year’s 30 day challenge.
