I own a Letter From Santa website ~ for the past two years I have written to kids all over the US and Canada on behalf of Santa. A couple of weeks ago I was going through my list, making sure everything was ready to go and got set to mail a batch of letters out.

Then my five year old daughter walked in. She asked what I was doing with all the stickers and envelopes with Santa on them. I told her I am Santa’s helper, he is so busy that he needs lots of helpers.

She said “Why are you lying”

It was really hard not to start laughing! I explained to her that I was a helper and helping is not lying. She seemed satisfied with that answer and after grabbing a few stickers, went about her day.

Okay I all but abandoned this blog and it’s time to get it going again!

Things on my plate have been full. We are still getting used to a South Carolina summer, hot is fine with me, humidity, eh, not so much! The kids are enjoying the weather because they are outside every day on their slip and slide. They love that thing. We didn’t play in the water too much in Washington simply because it never got HOT hot.

One of the best things happened - my husband got promoted! We just found out on Wednesday and are so very happy. He works really hard at his job and so deserved this promotion. He is still working many hours a week but you can tell he is happy he passed.

I am working on designs for a handful of sites, but finishing a business plan as I need to stop doing the design. I enjoy it, I love being able to be creative and work online, but I’m focusing on that “what do I want to do when I grow up” thought I keep having. My business plan is coming along great and I’ll be finished and talking about that soon.

Big news! I am now a *graduate* of Mom Masterminds! It was a little bit of a surprise as I didn’t get notified by paypal that my subscription was over, but I did get a nifty MM Graduate button over at the forum. Check it out, Alice and Kelly - and everyone else there! - are such an amazing resource for WAHMs.

Well we finally got moved to South Carolina, got into our new home and are working on getting settled in. The weather here is nice, though I’m sure the humidity will get to me this summer. The kids are enjoying their time here and I am finally able to get back online regularly and get work done! I spent the weekend checking in at my favorite message boards and rethinking where I will be active and whatnot. I used to spend too much time on message boards, but after being away for such a long time I realize what I missed and what I don’t miss. So I am revamping my daily schedule! Starting today, but better late then never.
